In what serves as a nice summary of the new condo building scene, the L.A. Weekly gives us some thoughts about five of the trendiest overpriced high rise condo buildings throughout the City. Two things are clear: high rise condos have views and high rise condos aren’t just for little ol’ downtown any more. They’re everywhere, and the article implies that this somehow means developers are less interested in peddling sprawl and more interested in building vertically. Gina, please. Developers may like it, but many a suburban Southern Californian can’t get enough sprawl. Condos might give one a good view (and a fancy pool!), but L.A. sure does love its views close to the ground.
