Yet Another Mapping Website

Another mapping website! (We've read this story before. Is this going to be like the online pet supply store bust of 2000?) Our newest player on the mapping circuit is Neighboroo. This time the spin is pretty colors superimposed on a Google Map to denote specific demographic information. They claim that it goes to neighborhood level, but the picture above is the most we could zoom in. We wouldn’t call that neighborhood-level detail, but we suppose ‘neighborhood’ is a subjective term. Anyway, the software uses an array of pastels to give you information about home prices, rents, commute times, race, unemployment, and a few other data pieces to illustrate that L.A. is segregated. We did notice that the air is uniformly bad in L.A., however. We’ll be using this mapping software when all others seem to fail us.
