Century City/BH Sustainability and Lawsuits

Hey, someone sent us some links that led us to some new pics of the 9900 Wilshire project from Richard Meier. Those pics also reminded us to check out the Tract7260 web site which always has good info on happenings in that part of town. That's how our train of thought works. From a December 4th posting, we're gifted with a good "bad Jack Weiss" story, where the fiery Councilman approved a project - twin 47-story towers at 10131 West Constellation(pictured) - despite the objections of locals concerned about traffic. From Tract7260:

Jack Weiss voted to approve the 1,300,000 square foot JMB project last week. The developers contended, and Jack Weiss agreed, that a project containing 483 condos in a combined 106 stories would create less traffic than the 35,000 square feet of walk-up bank and nightclub currently on the property. The decision to approve the project, with some maneuvering to reduce the developer mitigations, has upset the locals enough to drive them to a lawsuit with the hope of creating a reduced project or a community benefit fund. Thanks for this early Christmas gift, Mr. Weiss.
