It's a building that makes our teeth sweat. Last Friday, Thom Mayne and his LA based architectural firm Morphosis were announced as the winner of an architectural competition to design a new tower in the La Defense district of Paris. The 68-story tower will feature a wind farm on the roof, and provides "a curving facade designed to minimize solar overheating." The tower is scheduled for completion in 2012, around the same time we can probably expect to be graced with these throwbacks.
