Where's the Beef? LA Gets More Steak

Are you in need of a hot beef injection? Lucky you, LA is getting a new crop of steak houses soon. We just got word of a couple of new openings coming up:

West Hollywood: Is chef Laurent Tourondel coming to LA? Looks like BLT Steak on E. 57th Street in NYC is buying the former Le Dome on the Strip. According to one of our readers, there is no posting notice on the building, yet have gotten word that the deal is done and awaiting landlord approval before the notice goes up. Also, in Weho: Roger Hayot has finally sold the Authentic Cafe on Beverly Blvd and what will be replacing it (what else?) - another Italian restaurant tentatively called Terroni.

Santa Monica: More Beef! A new steakhouse will also be opening in the next couple of weeks in the former Pentola space at 312 Wilshire Blvd. called Scarboni NY Lobster & Steak House. Again, our tipster tells us the operator is (probably) local, regardless of the name on the sign.
