We hate to tear you away from the latest episode of Laguna Beach: The Real OC (Kristin and Talan are so cute together!), but we've learned that the SavetheDerby.com site is now active.
The modest and low-key historic structure nestled among fir trees located at 4500 Los Feliz Blvd. (corner of Hillhurst and Los Feliz), home to The Derby nightclub and Louise?s Trattoria, is threatened with demolition. The new owners want to bulldoze it and turn it into condos. And LAist and ThePeoplesDanceParty join the mix by blogging on the historic hangout in peril as well. Aspiring preservationists are encouraged to contact Councilman Tom Labonge to lobby for our beloved Derby.
