Saturday, there was another crash involving an inattentive driver and a Metro OrangeLine bus, this time in Woodland Hills. No injuries reported.

We didn't realize the renovation of the Hollywood sign would be completed so soon, but apparently the Mayor will put the finishing brush strokes on the sign this afternoon.

Developer Steve Torkian is seeking a zone change for a 54-unit condominium project at 5920-5948 Melrose. Neighbors feel the project is too big for the property. A meeting between the developer, residents and Councilman Tom Labonge's office is scheduled for tomorrow to settle the argument peacefully. Let peace return to Melrose.

Businesses priced out of their hip Beverly and Melrose addresses are heading to grimier Sunset Boulevard addresses. Since Cheebo moved into the neighborhood several years ago things have been looking hipper on the stretch of Sunset between La Brea and Fairfax and now "healthy" looking youngsters are flocking to the area. Gentrify!
