The LA Times' Home Section visits Sierra Towers, the striking, mid-century modern condo tower at the edge of the Sunset Strip (just north of Hamburger Hamlet) where design-minded residents, including one who may have been the model for Mike Myers' "Sprockets" character, are buying up units and subjecting them to extreme makeovers, often by name architects. The results are proving to be celebrity catnip; Lindsay Lohan and Matthew Perry are new residents.
