Clippers Owner Pays Up

Infamous tight-wad, Donald Sterling, owner of the Clippers, has been ordered to pay a settlement of $5 million for discriminating against black and latino tenants in Koreatown.
U.S. District Judge Dale Fisher's order, dated Wednesday, ordered Sterling to compensate plaintiffs' attorneys in a 2003 lawsuit alleging Sterling tried to drive out non-Korean tenants, particularly blacks and Latinos, at apartments he owned in the city's Koreatown neighborhood. The judge also banned Sterling from using the word "Korean" on any of his buildings. No word if Sam Cassell will be traded to help pay for the settlement.
