Back in August we heard a rumor that REI would fill the empty Toys R Us store in Santa Monica at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and 4th Street. Get your carabiners ready because it turns out we were confirmed. REI’s seventh store in the region is expected to open in Spring 2006. Now you can buy that new surf board, walk to the beach to try it out and return it with the tags still on.
