Whole Foods in Hollywood: CONFIRMED

Somedays everything just falls into place. Today, we were alerted by a reader that he had seen a public notice posted that stated the historical Hollywood Taft Building was going to be torn down. Naturally we screamed "NO!!!!" found our special, quiet space and came back to reality after several hours. Then our reader sent us a pic of the Notice which we magnified and read with great interest.

J.J. Abraham, Legacy Partners - check
Demolition - check
1632-1640 Vine - hmm... That's next door to the Hollywood Taft. And the radius map shows almost all of the block being converted or demolished.
350 apartment units - okay
300 room hotel - sure

Proposed 30,000 sf market and 72,000 sf retail - aha! We weren't sure yet, but we had a sneaking suspicion. That would be a decent location for a Whole Foods considering the influx of new residents into Hollywood and specifically around that area. And then at 3pm today we hit paydirt. We get the email from a participant in the project (and a good friend of ours) who says "I know where the Whole Foods is going. Near Vine and Selma, below 300 apartment units."

And voila ladies and gentleman. There you have it. More pleasing than an episode of CSI. We solved the Whole Foods mystery.
