Forbes: Home of the Week Finds Venice

Forbes.com's Home of the Week is a 2004 Michael Sant designed stucco pad on Glencoe Avenue, east of Lincoln. The article gives a brief history of Venice, including the nod to former Venice residents Julia Roberts and Frank Gehry - woo hoo! Starchitect recognition!

The residence totals a modest 1,700 square feet, with three bedrooms and two baths behind a stucco exterior. It is centered around a great room with a fireplace that opens onto a heated outdoor parlor. Two guest bedrooms and guest bath share a morning garden. The master bedroom connects to the central parlor garden and a Zen sculpture garden. A glass-walled shower in the master bath offers views of the back garden. The place has been polished up like a small gem, with pearly Venetian plaster walls; polished, heated concrete floors; and stainless steel countertops. The baths feature marble mosaic tiles and Italian fixtures. The two-car garage doubles as a media room.

Retail price: $1,995,000. Deasy/Penner & Partners has the listing.
