The classic 1997 John Woo film Face/Off has action, suspense, thrills, a little bit of comedy, and an incomparable performance by Nicolas Cage as Castor Troy, a wonderful villain and the archenemy of John Travolta's Sean Archer. The film's title refers to some seriously ridiculous science that allows Cage's character to switch faces and bodies and voices with Travolta. Throughout the picture, recognizable Los Angeles spots including the Convention Center are mixed in with places that look familiar but might be harder to spot (the Cabrillo Beach Bath House), and the whole production is peppered with giant explosions, dramatic chase scenes, and that special brand of Nic Cage wackiness.
