Silicon Beach must be creeping east: there's a new creative office building in the works in Culver City that will allow employees to stretch their legs as they plan world domination. Seven-story C3, designed by prolific DTLA-based Gensler, is planned for a parcel within walking distance of the Westfield Culver City mall. A video for the project, which is currently wending its way through the permitting process, shows a sleek and airy design with lots of balconies and exterior staircases (all the rage). In a sign of changing times, the website touts not only the proximity to the 405, but also to bike routes and the Expo Line light rail; it also looks like there will be a connecting shuttle to and from the train (there's also plenty of parking, of course, with the possibility of sky bridges from the garages to the offices).
