LACMA and MOCA may be ready to shack up together and give birth to a contemporary super-museum, but philanthropist and rival museum-er Eli Broad could cause trouble: "In funding a 2008 MOCA bailout valued at up to $30 million, Broad won a stipulation that MOCA could not be acquired for 10 years by 'any museum located within 100 miles of MOCA's Grand Avenue facility.'" Broad fell out with LACMA a few years ago after promising them his collection and then going backsies and deciding to build his own place on Grand Avenue. [LAT]
