Seems like we're getting a Bob Hope Christmas special this year. On the heels of the news that the late entertainer and his wife's Palm Springs pad will hit the market, the Tolucan Times reports that the sprawling Toluca Lake estate where the beloved comedian resided between 1939 and his death in 2003 is also going up for sale, for the first time ever. The 1.34 acre property contains an English-style main house designed by architect Robert Finkelhor--who also built houses for Barbara Stanwyck, Harpo and Zeppo Marx, and Norma Talmadge--as well as a swimming pool, guesthouse, gardens, and golf course. Sadly, we missed out on the garage sale that was held last weekend at the Moorpark Street residence; however, the article notes that "Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills will be putting together a show of some of the Hope's cherished belongings." No word yet on an asking price for the property.
