Remember the assholes who shut down the 101 Freeway in Hollywood one sunny morning in 2010 so that they could inflict their terrible music on stopped commuters? Those guys were sentenced yesterday, not to decades of hard labor, but to "three years probation and 35 days of community labor," according to the City News Service. They were charged with "one felony count of conspiracy, one misdemeanor count of public nuisance and two misdemeanor counts of resisting, obstructing or delaying law enforcement officers" (the felony charge could be reduced in a year and a half). Back in October 2010, The Imperial Stars--preliminary research shows them to be some kind of Insane Clown Posse knock-off, which precludes any more in-depth research--parked their bus across several lanes of traffic, got up on the roof, and started playing a song called "Traffic Jam 101." When police eventually got them down, their driver had fled with the keys and the bus had to be towed.
