Kelly Wearstler, the interior designing sprite who dresses like Cyndi Lauper, apparently does know when to dial it back. She and husband Brad Korzen of real estate/hotel firm Kor Group have been trying to sell their pedigreed Beverly Hills house for a couple years now as a pocket listing--it first came up for sale in October 2010, asking $46 million and packed to the gills with the gilded tchotchkes Wearstler has made her name on. It now arrives on the MLS still Wearstler-ized, but pared back just a bit. According to the Pacific Coast Architecture Database, the house was originally built in 1926 as a Spanish Colonial Revival; in 1933 or 1934, William Powell of the Thin Man series came in and commissioned architect James E. Dolena to remodel it into a Hollywood Regency. James Bond producer Albert R. Broccoli bought the house in 1969 and sold to Wearstler in Korzen in 2005, who brought in architect Brian Tichenor to do a little freshening up. Per the listing, the main house has seven bedrooms (including two for the help), ten bathrooms, and a dining room; the property also includes a two-bedroom guesthouse, a pool, a tennis court, a screening room, and a gym on 3.2 acres of land. Asking price is $39 million.
