Chalk another architectural style up on the big Americana at Brand board--the mall's forthcoming Nordstrom will incorporate an 83 year old, 50 foot wide brick facade from an old warehouse on Americana-adjacent Orange Street. The Daily News reports that "Plans call for the building's original steel sash windows to be used as 'showcases' in which the [Glendale Historical Society] can display photographs from Glendale's past. The facade will eventually become the main component of a pedestrian walkway leading to the entrance of the 135,000-square-foot Nordstrom." The Americana will also be getting an Apple store soon.
