A. Quincy Jones' widow put the couple's Century City barn house up for sale in 2008, and the Architect's Newspaper reports it's finally been purchased, and by the preservation-minded Annenberg Foundation. Redfin has the sale price at $2 million, pretty well below its original $2.995 million asking. The Foundation has hired Frederick Fisher to do a renovation with "a very light touch," as Fisher told A/N. A new ventilation system will be put in, and light fixtures and windows will be updated. After the work is done, the Annenberg-affiliated Chora Council of the Metabolic Studio will move in, and the house will host offices, an artist-in-residence program, and events. Jones converted the house from an old photographer's studio in 1965.
