ConstructionWatch: Silver Lake Library Gets Some Real Bones
Monday, July 28, 2008, by Dakota

Given the rash of news about libraries on Friday (Exposition Park and Glendale libraries are opening), it seemed only fitting to check in on construction at Silver Lake Library. For months, work on the Glendale Boulevard site plodded along, but it's only now that locals are seeing some height. Are there going to be any views of the reservoir from this roof of this? You can check out books, get free Wi-Fi and use a public restroom in spring 2009. That seems quite far off, but which is apparently par for the course in terms of library construction. These things take time, we're told.
