Rendering/Reality: Versailles Apartments off Olympic
Wednesday, April 23, 2008, by Dakota
Rendering/Reality is a Curbed feature that considers the often unsubtle differences between what a building looks like in its renderings, and what it looks like when they get around to building the thing. Nominees, please.
So what happened? "It was going to be peachy, but they decided to leave it brown," a leasing agent at Versailles, a 225-unit new building at Oxford Avenue (near Olympic), tells us. How much? "$1,600-$4,000 for apartments that are 620-1,200 square feet." And what's the "Construction Special" that you're advertising on the building? "You get one month free right now if you sign a year lease." Merci!
