ListingsWire: Bird Street New Listing, Big Silver Lake Sale, Eastern Columbia Chop!
Wednesday, April 30, 2008, by Dakota

Each week ListingsWire mentions notable movements on the MLS: New listings, price chops, flips, and more. Spy movement? Email us.

HOLLYWOOD HILLS: A new listing in the coveted Bird Streets has hit the market. A three-bedroom home listed at $8.995 million, it's "a sexy contemporary designed home w/ spectacular city views. Motor court, separate entrance guest wing, media room, bar, pool patio...an entertainer's dream." It's located at 9405 Sierra Mar Place and it seems there was a murder at the house. OK, that's awful.

SILVER LAKE: Remember that Silver Lake home on the reservoir that was listed for $1.079 million? Everyone on the site went ape-shit, said it was too small, overpriced. Well, it looks like there was a bidding war for the place. In December, the listing said "looking for back-up" and now Redfin notes the home sold last month for $1.12 million. And now you know: Why buyers aren't coming down on their prices.

DOWNTOWN: Shave time at the Eastern Columbia. That fully furnished penthouse at the Eastern Columbia has gotten a little PriceChop. As readers will recall, the 12th floor corner unit, a fully furnished 1,837-square-foot loft space was listed last December at $1.795 million. It's now available for $1.695 million. And it's having its first ever public open house this Saturday. Go roll around in the bed and send back reports.
