Good news for those of you readers who still read books. The LA City Council has voted in favor of declaring the Barry Building, site of Dutton's Bookstore, a Historic Cultural Monument. The owner of the building, local money tyrant (and possible Dickens' character) Mr. Charles Munger, had a change of heart and now says he is willing to work with the community, reports CBS2. The lovely building was found to be "an example of mid-20th century modern architecture in Southern California [that] has contributed to the social and cultural history of the San Vicente commercial area."
