LA Declares October "Architecture Month"
Wednesday, October 3, 2007, by Marissa Gluck
LA is a little late to the game if it wants to declare October Architecture Month, although we applaud the city and AIA's efforts to finally honor LA's built environment. Of course, we already have a busy October calendar, what with National Sexuality Education Month, Polish American Heritage Month, National Dental Hygiene Month, National Lupus Erythematosus Awareness Month, AND World Blindness Awareness Month, all converging in the tenth month. So the AIA/LA is going to have to work a little harder to capture our attention. The architecture-themed scavenger hunt is a good start, though.
