Joel Stein, Here's Your House
Tuesday, September 4, 2007, by Dakota

Despite Joel Stein's reluctance to devalue his home by putting in a urinal, homes with the tidy piss bowls do in fact exist. Courtesy of an astute reader, we present this Silver Lake 1924-era Spanish Bungalow listed for $549,000. Would it more expensive if there was no urinal? Who cares! We salute you home owner for throwing resell caution to the wind and putting in a urinal--you've got balls!

Joel Stein looks great in bike shorts AND what about WATERLESS urinals. Those are all the eco rage lately. http://store.simonsny.com/dumcwaur.html

Those of us tired of the cold water in the bowls salute you. The owner is obviously a stand up guy. Urinaleague of your own.

Urinals are disgusting! Yuck! Men are pigs!

Opposition to urinals is totally unfounded. And for women who bitch and moan about men leaving the seat up, pissing on the seat, splashing urine and toilet water on the floor surrounding the toilet, urinals are a major boon!

That's barely in Silver Lake. On the plus side, you can walk to the Beverly/Vermont subway stop.

... and if you can walk to the Beverly/Vermont stop, what do you even need the urinal for?!

There are some really fancy waterless/low-water urinals in Europe that actual look very aesthetically pleasing. I wonder if there will be a urinal movement for eco-hounds.

But I do love me some bidet.

I would totally put a waterless urinal in my house--if I can ever afford to buy one.

By Raul at September 4, 2007 1:34 PM

Yes but what would a waterless urinal do to the value? Then you could pitch it as a green feature.

I live about 1000' from this place. Don't think you'd want to walk to the Beverly/Vermont Metro stop...it's nearly a mile...

Just pee in Bellvue park!

When we built our house 10 yrs ago my husband got his urinal & I have never dealt w/a wet butt in the middle of the night again. Its the best gift to women. Q: Who left the seat up in this picture?

By Anonymous at September 4, 2007 9:57 PM

13.

Some people would pay good money for a wet butt in the middle of the night.
