I Love Lucy writer Madelyn Pugh Davis called this pristine midcentury specimen her home for four decades. She died at the Bel-Air property five years ago, according to an obituary in the Los Angeles Times, and now the listing agent says her family is ready to sell for $3.2 million.
Many of the original architectural details remain intact. They shine in the main living areas, where white walls, glass sliding doors, lots of windows, and tall, angular ceilings, allow in a lot of light. It’s a pretty open floor plan with the exception of a sculptural fireplace, which divides the great room, living room, and dining room. The wood-carved front doors, L-shaped wood bar, and terrazzo and parquet floors provide character, too.
There are four bedrooms and four baths, two of which appear to have been updated, and outside, the centerpiece is a kidney-shaped pool.
